Hey y’all, just discovered the world of oscilloscope art and oh my god I’m in love, I’ve been making music with synthesizers since I was about 15 and everything about this whole world I’ve just uncovered is mind blowing. I’ve spent hours upon hours already creating wild sounds to see how they’re visualized. Here’s a little visual piece I made last night from layering multiple recordings of your guy’s free oscilloscope software:

Came out kind of low quality and shit for whatever reason even though I was recording full 1080p on OBS (I’m not the smartest bean on the plant sometimes and it was late at night) but it’s just a start

What intrigues me most about oscilloscope art aesthetically is when you distort and transform perfect geometries with other synthesized sounds and processing. I plan on making music videos augmenting real footage with overlayed and layered oscilloscope art. Does anyone else have experience with this or know any artists doing similar things? I’d love a little inspiration and know how! I plan on getting OsciStudio as soon as I’m able (baby on the way so finances are a lilll tight), it looks fucking incredible and it blows my mind the things you’re able to do with it. Thank you guys for putting in all this work to bring such a unique and beautiul art form to people like me who can just stumble on it and get creating, you seriously rule!!! :))))

ps. as long as you don’t need realtime, you can use the export from the oscilloscope app. drag an audio file into it, then press e on your keyboard to bring up the export dialog. you should be able to export an image sequence from there, which you should be able to use in pretty much any video editing software.

Oh my god, and it’s right there on the download page, now I feel stupid. Thank you so much, there’s a very high chance I never would’ve looked back at it and just kept on doing things the hard way! You rule!!!
