Noob question, can I import .wav files to OsciStudio?

greetings everyone! I have a vst that creates sound and alters both L&R channels creating nice drawings, but the only way to save it is by exporting it to wav, is there a way to import that wav to oscistudio? my wish is to add trace plugin to it

hi!

the answer is yes and no.

working with wavetables (a single cycle, around 50ms long) makes the most sense.
you can of course work with files of arbitrary length, but you might be surprised by the result :smiley:

either way, to import the file drag it from windows explorer into the coordinate system (the red/blue lines) and your file will show up. for longer files (longer 0.1 seconds) you will have to use a trace with rather small values for the “length” parameter.
