Oscistudio Preview to NDI or equivalent?

#1

Hey there,

I’m curious if it’s possible to route the oscistudio preview direct to NDI output, as you can in VLC. Would this be difficult to program? I imagine since we’re using ffmpeg there should be some cross functionality here. Essentially I want to run oscistudio preview into other programs, like touchdesigner, without having to do screengrab.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts!

Thanks,
Maro

sorry, but… what’s ndi?

NDI stands for Network Device Interface, it’s a series of free tools allowing for easy solutions to deliver and receive audio / visuals over a computer network. Essentially I want to route the visuals from oscistudio to another program without doing a screengrab. I know it’s possible, I’m just a coding noob

Actually , I have found a way ! OBS–>NDI Plugin–> Madmapper … or any software accepting NDI  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q1rXLcXRLM

If I’m not mistaken that still requires screen capture, which is adding another instance of rendering prior to actually porting it into a software of choice.

Unfortunately .Yes. This is my workaround in absence of anything else right now, but did not notice any drop in quality and fps
